Pantone® Color System Printing
|
|
The Pantone® color system provides a precise way for you to specify the exact colors you want printed on brochures, packaging, presentation materials, letterhead, business cards, and so on.
To indicate the exact color you want using the Pantone color system, you or the designer you're working with use a Pantone color book to "pick" the desired color. Then, within the application software that you're using to create an electronic version of your say, brochure, you indicate that you want to use a specific Pantone color.
A final important point also deserves mention: Please note that you can't count on exact color matches when translating colors from the Pantone color system to traditional cyan-yellow-magenta-black colors.

Pantone color books are available from the Pantone web site at www.pantone.com. One popular guide to Pantone colors, which is available direct from the Pantone web site, is the Pantone® Guide to Communicating with Color by Leatrice Eiseman. But you can also ask us to show you one of our Pantone color books.
